Sir George Moss, Professor Penson, Sir Humphrey Prideaux-Brune
and Dr. Priestley.
Mr. Burney and Dr. Channon were unable to be present.
Mr. Bryan asked that the words "between China and Hong Kong" might be substituted for the worus "with China" in paragraph 20 of the minutes of the lust meeting. Subject to this amendment the draft minutes of the seventh meeting were adopted.
2. Miss Ruston read an extract from a letter from Sir George Moss
tendering his resignation on account of his recent accident. The Committee expressed their sympathy with Sir George Moss and expressed

Miss Ruston also said that
Professor Penson hau written a note of suggestions and comments on Part III of the druit Report but that owing to a misunderstanding For which she was responsible Miss Penson had not yet submitted this
paper.

3. The Chairman referred to the redraft of Part I of the draft Repor·
Leve becn re-writher for which the Committee were indebted to Mr. Adams There was
general agreement that this redraft was an improvement and the questio now for decision was whether Mr. Adams should be asked to expand his redrart slightly so as to include the more important arguments in Part II which might then be discerue! or whether Mr. Adams' redraft
